New Day-Light - Light Therapy to Meet Your Needs
Uplift Technologies has been manufacturing quality Day-Light bright light systems for years. Day-Light technology complies with industry standards for safe and effective light therapy treatment of Seasonal Affective Disorder and the less severe version of the 'winter blues'.
Dartmouth, NS (PRWEB) October 9, 2004
Day-Light from Uplift Technologies Inc. is new, improved, and ready for the first full season of distribution. Day-Lights are bright light therapy systems used to help alleviate symptoms of Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), and the less severe version the ÂWinter BluesÂ.
ÂThe concept for the New Day-Light came from consumer comments, says Michael Speraw, President of Uplift Technologies Inc. ÂUntil now, there was not a bright light system on the market that complied with conventional light therapy standards, and met user preferences for smaller size and versatility.Â
These specially designed systems emit 10,000 lux light intensity in morning sessions of 20-30 minutes  the recommended dosage for the treatment of Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). Day-Lights work to lift the spirits of those prone to seasonal mood swings. Day-Light now features 4,000 Kelvin color temperature bulbs which emit the optimal color spectrum as recommended by light therapy experts. This seasonÂs model also comes with a new full-color retail box and more durable packing materials.
Uplift Technologies Inc. has been manufacturing Day-Light technology since 1993. There are approximately 40 million North Americans who suffer from SAD or the ÂWinter BluesÂ. Symptoms include lack of energy, cravings for carbohydrates, and an overall feeling of lethargy. Symptoms return annually during the fall and winter months when daylight hours are shorter and more time is spent indoors.
ÂWithout the use of the Day-Light I found I was missing days and days of work at a time because I just didnÂt have the energy to even get out of bed. With Day-Light I am able to be at work every day and do my job much better, says Julie Harrison, Regina, SK.
Day-Light is the most versatile bright light system on the market today. It can be used with the detachable legs, or with the built-in stand, or hung on the wall to create a light window in a dark room. Compact, it fits conveniently in a carry-on when traveling. More than that, it complies with the 20-years of research that supports the established light therapy standards that are synonymous with Day-Light technology.
ÂI like that the Day-Light is compact and versatile. Not only that but it is both functional as a work light and therapeutic, says Dr. Lyn MacBeath, Vancouver, BC.
The redesigned Day-Light was announced at MedTrade Fall 2003, but it was not ready for distribution at that time. It subsequently enjoyed a short, but successful season of sales. This year, production is scheduled to triple based on consumer response to the new design.
Day-Lights are innovative light therapy systems  not medical devices. We recommend that you consult a physician before undertaking a bright light therapy regimen.
